To all boxer families:
Today is a sad day for us at Boxer Dog Advisor. We lost our baby
boy Obie today. He was 11 and was so much a part of the family.
We are now without a boxer for the first time in over 20 years.
Our hearts hurt, we are lost, and we are lonely. We can only
begin to think about all he gave us, the laughs, surprises, knowledge,
and most of all the love and devotion only he could give.
He was moma's boy and daddy's playmate. He always wanted to be
with us, even in his old age, when he did not feel good, he would
get up and stay with us.
It is hard to write, the tears will not stop, and the emptiness
overwhelming. We have been through this before with Tigger, Buffy
and Chelsea. But this one hurts the worse. He was the "Great
Communicator", he told us when to go to bed, get up, when
to eat, when it was time to play and so many other things we can't
think of them all.
He didn't just live with us, he interacted and was truly a part
of the family. The world just lost a beautiful spirit this late
spring afternoon, and his spirit can't be replaced.
