Boxer Dog Commands your Boxer should know

Teaching your boxer dog commands is vital for you and your boxer to live happy and healthy lives. We all have rules we must follow and boxers are no different. As you teach your children certain words, you should also teach your boxer dog commands as well.

Here is a partial list of the basic commands your boxer should know.

  • No
  • Sit
  • Stay
  • Heal
  • Come
  • Stop
  • Good Boy/Girl
  • Down

Of course there are others, but these are the basic commands.

You should start training when your boxer is a puppy. Be patient and use rewards and positive reinforcement when trying to teach your boxer.

Mom and Dad used the exact same word all the time. They used it over and over and we finally understood what they wanted. Remember we want to please.

If you need to reprimand you boxer, use your voice, as the tone means as much as the words themselves sometimes. Never hit or physically punish your boxer, as this will lead to other more severe behavior problems and will not accomplish your goal of having a happy and healthy boxer.

Please, take the time to teach your boxer dog commands. Do it for you and do it for your boxer. You both will enjoy each others company much more and the relationship you build will be rewarding.
